At Faith In Deed, our mission is to bring hope and restoration to the homeless and those in need by providing essential resources like food, clothing, and blankets, while also connecting them with local services to help them regain stability. We are committed to not just meeting physical needs but also offering spiritual support by sharing the Gospel and providing a New Testament pocket Bible to every individual we serve. Our belief is that through faith and action, we can transform lives and guide people toward a brighter future.
We seek to serve chronically homeless individuals and anyone facing hardship, offering them dignity and support when they need it most. We strive to ensure that no one goes without food, warmth, or the opportunity to rebuild their life.
Over 580,000 people experience homelessness on any given night in the United States.
23% of homeless individuals are veterans, and 15% are families with children.
The National Healthcare for the Homeless Council estimates that homelessness-related deaths occur at a rate of about 1,000 people per month, or about 12,000 annually.
1. Faith-Driven Decision Making
At Faith In Deed, we believe in making decisions through prayer, discussion, and seeking guidance from our team of volunteers, donors, and the homeless community we serve. We rely on scripture as the foundation for our actions, ensuring that every step we take aligns with God’s will. We prioritize understanding the real, urgent needs of those we serve, and make decisions based on their feedback and input, trusting in God’s direction.
2. Faith in Action
Inspired by James 2:15-16, we believe faith is more than words—it’s about action. The Bible calls us not to merely pray for those in need but to actively serve them with love and compassion. Faith In Deed is committed to putting our faith into practical action, offering immediate relief, resources, and a pathway to hope for those who need it most.
3. Biblical Values of Love and Selflessness
At the heart of Faith In Deed is a commitment to biblical values, particularly the command to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39). We live out this love by prioritizing others, putting their needs above our own, and embodying the selflessness taught in Scripture. Our volunteers and supporters reflect this love in their everyday actions, working together to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
4. Compassion
Every person we serve is treated with dignity and respect, recognizing their inherent worth in the eyes of God. Our approach is grounded in compassion and empathy, aiming to empower individuals to rebuild their lives with the resources, guidance, and faith they need. We seek to change the narrative around homelessness, highlighting the need for community support, practical solutions, and unwavering hope.
