At Faith In Deed, our mission is simple but profound: to help homeless individuals in the inland empire by providing essential support, connecting them with local resources, and sharing the hope of the Gospel. We are committed to meeting both physical and spiritual needs, empowering those we serve to rise above their circumstances.
1. Providing Essential Items
Every month, we focus on giving those experiencing homelessness the items they need to survive. We distribute essential care packages and other items such as:
• Clothing: Hoodies, jackets, socks, underwear, gloves, beanies, and any other clothes that are needed.
• Hygiene Products: Soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, wipes, and feminine hygiene products.
• Food: Nutritious meals, water, and snacks for individuals who may not have eaten in days.
• Shelter Support: Blankets, tarps, and sleeping bags to provide warmth and comfort.
We believe that no one should have to face a night without food, warmth, or basic hygiene. By providing these essentials, we are addressing immediate needs and offering a moment of relief.
2. Sharing the Gospel
At Faith In Deed, sharing the Gospel is at the heart of our mission. We believe that true transformation begins with faith in God, and we are dedicated to spreading the message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ to those in need. By providing New Testament pocket Bibles to every homeless individual we serve, we aim to share the life-changing power of God’s Word. Our approach is rooted in compassion, guided by scripture such as James 2:15-16, which reminds us to care for both the physical and spiritual needs of others. We see the Gospel as more than words—it’s a call to action to love our neighbors as ourselves. Through acts of kindness, meeting basic needs, and offering prayer, we strive to reflect God’s love and remind individuals that they are never alone in their struggles. At Faith In Deed, we believe that Jesus Christ is the ultimate solution to all pain and suffering and we are committed to making His truth known in everything we do.
We take time to build relationships and share the Gospel with everyone we encounter. Our team is dedicated to offering support, encouragement, and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
3. Outreach Events & Community Engagement
Faith In Deed isn’t just about distributing items; it’s about creating lasting connections and raising awareness. We host monthly outreach events, where volunteers gather to distribute supplies, offer care, and pray with individuals in need. We also collaborate with other local organizations to amplify our impact and build a network of support for the homeless.
Our goal is to break the cycle of isolation and stigma surrounding homelessness, fostering a compassionate community that sees and values every person as God does.
Why We Do It
The need is urgent: Every night, thousands of people in our community struggle without food, shelter, or the support they need to turn their lives around. We believe that as Christians, we are called not only to pray for those in need but to put our faith into action. James 2:15-16 reminds us that faith without works is dead. That’s why we take action to make a tangible difference in the lives of the homeless and help them find hope, healing, and a path forward.
James 2:15-16
15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
